  Hmm … I think it’s an okay idea in theory, but it would take a huge cost to build! Some more practical (but still out there) ideas for space engineering are a space elevator (I think it would be achievable with better materials) or a rail-gun space launcher (not sure about this one) so we don’t need to burn tons of fuel whenever we send things up and down into our atmosphere / space.
