0 Question: what's the best way to remember information Keywords: information, memory Asked by land to Yee Whye, Valerie, Nick, Mackenzie, Lin, Jun, Jacob, Brian, Anna on 14 Nov 2019.
Jacob Leygonie answered on 14 Nov 2019:
Of course that depends on people: some like to hear from someone else in order to understand and remember and others prefer to read.
Here are a few ways of remembering things that I have empirically collected so far:
– Learn something 3 times if you want it to stick in your mind.
– Reproduce the knowledge on your paper: take note of what you want to learn.
– Draw examples, with details, of the complicated notions you want to learn. You will associate images to knowledge in this way.
To remember things on the long term, I did not found any great technique yet.
