At least Gates foundation is. I think for most private companies, their primary goals are to make profits. It is not sensible to expect them to act like a charity, because they are not. However, individuals can be more charitable. The world can be a better place if we have more nicer billionaires. The world can also be a better place if each individuals can be a nicer person. I can do my bits, you can do your bits as well and the billionaires can do their bits.
