Raquel Pinacho answered on 22 Sep 2017:
Hi Katie, thanks for your question! My cat is called Txuri which is a Basque word that means “of white colour”. I called her like that because her coat was all white as a kitten but now she has some brown patches. Did you know that differently coloured patches of fur in cats and other animals are due to the activation of temperature-dependent genes? My cat has brown patches on the top of her head, her back and her tail, so I guess these are the parts of her body with the higher temperatures! =)

I have two cats, called Henry and Charlie. Henry is ginger and grumpy. He bites if you touch his white fur. Charlie is black and a bit dopey – you can sit on him and he won’t notice until he’s nearly squashed.
